Buffalo Plastering has been in business since 1989. Gary Bolles started in the trade 30 years ago as an apprentice plasterer and learned much from old world craftsmen he worked under. Later he teamed with Leo Lysy, a European trained sculptor who runs the ornamental and sculpture aspects of the business. Along with locals, artisans from Turkey, Lebanon and Russia have found their way to the Buffalo Plastering studio. Based in Buffalo, New York, with an ornamental casting studio capable of custom architectural elements and sculpture, most of our customers are designers, architects, custom home builders and historic restoration contractors.We specialize in all plaster systems, including interior and exterior wall and ceiling systems, custom architectural sculpture, casting and restoration.

We fabricate columns, cornices, domes, architectural and religious sculpture in interior or exterior materials that replicate terra cotta, limestone, marble or travertine. In recent years they have developed a popular collection of upscale cast travertine fireplace mantels and rangehoods that are being sold throughout the country from our website. In addition to exterior stucco, plastering walls and ceilings with lime, plaster and cement stucco meets the needs of historical restoration and new high end plaster systems. All items are made specifically at the time of order. We do not carry an inventory so you can be assured the product you order has been custom made for you. |
In 2005 Buffalo Plastering won the Excellence In Design Award from Walls and Ceilings Magazine, a building trade publication.
